Moon Mouse to Launch at Space Center Houston
It is with honor to announce that we’ll be performing Moon Mouse on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Space Center Houston for their annual Galaxy Gala. This members only event benefits the Space Center’s Innovation Gateway Initiative and Other Science and Technology, Engineering and Mathematic (STEM) Programs.
The Manned Space Flight Education Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit educational foundation offering extensive science education programs and a space museum. The cornerstone of its education mission is Space Center Houston, a leading science and space exploration learning center. It is one of Houston’s top attractions, the area’s number one attraction for international visitors, the Official Visitor Center of NASA Johnson Space Center and a Smithsonian Affiliate.

NC State's performing arts series includes a family-friendly Kidstuff series. And this month, it will feature a really fun twist on the classic "The Ugly Duckling."

We all know The Ugly Duckling as the classic tale of belonging by Hans Christian Andersen, but we’ve never seen it quite like this! Using cutting edge lighting technology, Lightwire Theater, brings the beloved story to life in a blaze of color. The result is an unforgettable theatrical experience blending electroluminescent wire with mesmerizing puppetry, innovative technology and beautiful dance.
Young readers will be in awe at how The Ugly Ducking (and friends) spring to life on the stage! Don’t miss this electrifying live version of a classic story – complete with music ranging from classical to pop.

The show is best for kids in kindergarten to fourth grade. Tickets are $12 (and free for kids 3 and under).

The Ugly Duckling
The Lightwire Theater returns to the Oshman Family JCC with its famous rendition of The Ugly Duckling. Of the five eggs in Mother Duck’s nest, one is the largest and last to hatch. Bigger and paler than the others, this last hatchling is treated as an outsider by Mother Duck and her ducklings.

Dino Light at The Da Vinci Science Center
We were so excited to perform Dino Light during the month of November at The Da Vinci Discovery and Science Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Here’s what they had to say:
I would like to express my sincerest of gratitude to each of you for helping to bring Lightwire Theater's Dino Light to Da Vinci Science Center for the past several weeks. It was the largest undertaking of this kind at the Center and had a profound impact on our community, allowing them to clearly see how Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Science come together in our lives.
As our final day of shows draws to a close, I wanted to give you all a few details about how everything went:
6,300+ visitors including children of all ages, adults, school field trip groups, family reunions, and several special needs groups saw Dino Light at Da Vinci Science Center.
Our Membership sales more than doubled over the previous year as we were able to tell the public about all the great things to come over the next year after each show.
We broke several attendance records for the months of November and December. Most notably, the weekend of Thanksgiving - we had not seen over 500 visitors since our opening weekend when we built the Center - each day of that long weekend we had well over 500 people!
We facilitated paper circuits, 3D die cut dino bone puzzles, and mechanical straw puppets alongside the show's run in our Creativity Studio which allowed visitors to practice many of the skills needed to make their own light-up shows at home.
Countless visitors, board members, and major donors reported that this was, by far, the best combination of activities they have ever seen here.
Finally, on a more personal note, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Stephen, Elizabeth, Scott, Blue, and Geoff throughout this experience. I really appreciate Blue and Geoff for their work on opening weekend to fill in and get Scott all trained up. Scott did a phenomenal job really bringing Darwin to life, and it was great to watch him grow into it after 60 shows. Stephen and Elizabeth are just awesome; their passion, dedication, and enthusiasm for their work was evident to everyone who had the opportunity to meet them.
On our final day, I am saddened as they will be departing, but also excited for the future of high quality programming here at Da Vinci. With your help, I have been able to make a clear case for why performance theater is an important part of our science center experience. I look forward to hopefully being able to bring Lightwire Theater back to Da Vinci again soon.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center and Mendelson Entertainment Group are thrilled to announce that tickets for Lightwire Theater's 'DINO LIGHT' will go on sale Friday, October 5 at 10 a.m. Lightwire Theater's 'DINO LIGHT' will perform one show only at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Winspear Opera House in the downtown Dallas Arts District.
Since bursting to national acclaim after appearing as semi-finalists on 'America's Got Talent' and winning the top honors on TRU TV's 'Fake Off', Lightwire Theater has gone on to enthrall audiences worldwide with their unique combination of skill and grace as told through the technological innovations of moving light characters. People of all ages will be captivated by the dazzling visuals and unique menagerie of characters that magically appear out of the darkness.
'DINO LIGHT' tells the story of a famous scientist with magic powers that brings a friendly dinosaur to life. When the dinosaur wanders away from home, he discovers a wonderful world full of creatures that light up the darkness and help him find the true meaning of love. This glow-in-the-dark adventure is visually stunning and has been praised for its cutting edge blend of puppetry, technology and dance by audiences all over the world.
