On New Years Day, nearly 1,900 people gathered to watch Lightwire Theater’s final holiday performance of the season at Dallas’ premier entertainment venue, the Winspear Opera House.
The afternoon was full of dazzling entertainment performed in complete darkness. The audience enjoyed a spectacular finale performance of A Very Electric Christmas, a captivating tale of family and friendship performed to timeless Christmas hits.
Guests were able to go backstage after the show to take an exclusive look at the tech that makes Lightwire Theater come to life. Creators Ian and Eleanor Carney gave the audience a close-up look at the electric puppets which are constructed completely of El Wire and household equipment such as shin guards, knee pads, and bicycle helmets.
From the cast and crew of Lightwire Theater and the Mendelson Entertainment Group team, we want to thank everyone who helped make this Christmas tour such a success!
